Hurst & Burr Mechanical, Inc. is a mechanical construction and service contractor that has operated in the Denver Metropolitan Area for forty-four years. The journey started when Hurst & Burr Plumbing & Heating Co., Inc. was founded by Gene Hurst and Gordon Burr in 1964. The company thrived in the eighties constructing high-rise apartment buildings. Gordon retired in 1994 and Gene continued to operate the company through 2003.
Jim Martin and Dave Draper acquired Hurst & Burr Plumbing & Heating Co., Inc. in December 2003. Dave Draper's mechanical engineering consulting firm, DG Draper Consulting, LLC, specializing in mechanical design and construction administration merged with Hurst & Burr Plumbing & Heating Co., Inc. to form the mechanical contracting firm known today as Hurst & Burr Mechanical, Inc.
President
Jim was born and raised in the Bronx. He has resided in Colorado the last 24 years, but still retains his New York accent. He has 27 years of mechanical construction experience. In December of 2003 Jim co-founded Hurst & Burr Mechanical, Inc and is the firm's resident project management expert.
Vice President
Dave hails from New Jersey and has lived in Colorado for the past nine years. He was educated at Rutgers University with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Economics. He has 15 years of mechanical design and construction experience. In December of 2003 Dave co-founded Hurst & Burr Mechanical, Inc. and is the firm's resident design-build and pre-construction expert.
